The Super Kamiokande detector facility gained international renown for its role in the discovery of the mysterious particles known as neutrinos. 50 cm large scale photomultiplier tubes formed a core technology used in the detector. We developed glass with a performance profile matched to the researcher's specifications and carefully crafted the forms to create these hand-blown masterpieces.
